About our Chapter
INFORMATION
The Jasper GA chapter is a close community of diverse learning levels from preschool to 12th grade. We meet 24 weeks out of the academic year on Thursdays. We also offer field trips, park days, and mothers’ nights out.
2022- 2023 school year:
Our chapter meets on Thursday mornings at 10:15am.
We begin our day with morning prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following this, our grammar level scholars participate in chorus while upper level (Dialectic and Rhetoric) receive instruction in Latin and Greek roots of the English language.
Children of all ages will then move into their academics where they will learn and review memory work, enjoy hands-on art and science, and a snack. Babies are welcome to stay with their Mamas and young pre-scholars have their own space with fun, educational activities prepared for them by a room leader. At 12:00 pm, we pray the Angelus together, then have lunch and a short break to play. We resume learning until 2:30om and close with assembly time and prayer.
Each family with children in the Pre-Grammar (ages 3-5) and Grammar stage (5-12) is responsible for purchasing a Tour I tour guide, History Cards, and Music Memory Work CD. Chapter members can take advantage of our member discount offered.
Our Dialectic and Rhetoric students (grades 7-12) continue with a similar focus but will experience these topics at their levels through literature, writing, Socratic discussions, famous speech recitation, and memorization as well as hands-on science labs and art projects.
